Welcome to the Rotary Club of Wausau After Hours

The Wausau After Hours Rotary Club was chartered on October 18, 2023! Our club is the first new Rotary club in District 6220 in the past 12 years. We are proud to have chartered with 23 members, after a short time as a satellite club of the Rotary Club of Wausau Early Birds.

We held a special chartering event on January 17, 2024, where club President Julie Wildeck accepted a Rotary bell from immediate past District Governor Dave Anderson, who happens to be a member of the After Hours club.

As a new club, we are still getting our bearings about us. Our first meeting of the month is on the first Wednesday and features a special speaker pertaining to diversity, equality, and inclusion. Our club was founded on being a welcoming club that focuses on international projects and local projects that impact Wausau's diverse cultures. As a new club, we are looking for a permanent location for our first meeting of each month. Check our calendar to see where we are meeting. Our meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with a short social gathering, followed by the official meeting at 6 p.m. We typically wrap up our meeting between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Our second meeting each month is held on the third Wednesday of the month, and is either a social gathering or a volunteer opportunity. The location for those meetings rotates much like the leaders of the first Rotary club founded in Chicago in the early 20th century.

If you have interest in attending a meeting, please reach out to one of our club members. We'd be happy to have you join us!
